Used Diaphragm Pumps

JM Industrial buys and sells used and unused diaphragm pumps from leading manufacturers in various specifications. You can buy diaphragm pumps from brands like Pulsafeeder Engineered Products, Mitsui, Warren Rupp, Crane Deming and more. Diaphragm pumps are widely used across industries to pump different types of fluids. The pumps feature a reciprocating diaphragm and fluids are pushed through it. These pumps do not feature any internal parts, and this makes them extremely reliable. JM Industrial stocks various types of used pumps for sale. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Types of Used and Surplus Diaphragm Pumps Offered by J&M Industrial

The following are a few popular models of used and surplus diaphragm pumps for sale on this page.

  • Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps: This is one of the most popular types of diaphragm pumps and uses compressed air for operation. The pump has two assemblies and is equipped with a diaphragm. We provide air-operated diaphragm pumps from Crane Deming, Warren Rupp and other industry-leading brands.
  • Small Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps: These pumps can handle regular liquid viscosities and are often used in liquid distribution applications of low volume. They may have flow rates between 2 to 10 GPM.
  • Small Electric or Motor-driven Diaphragm Pumps: They can produce force up to 60 PSI to 100 PSI. These pumps are available in two styles – bypass style and demanding style with fixed force switches. The demanding style has a regular stop and start function and the force settings are accurately adjusted. However, the bypass style is suited for all types of applications but requires careful usage.

Types of Surplus and Diaphragm Pumps Offered by J&M Industrial Based on Action

The pumps offered by us can be distinguished into the following types based on their action. This action is decided by the set of valves and diaphragms in the pump.

  • Single Acting Pumps: These pumps have one diaphragm and a set of valves. They are mechanical drive pumps.
  • Double Acting Pumps: These pumps are double diaphragm pumps that have two sets of valves and two diaphragms. Most air operated diaphragm pumps that you see here are double-acting types.

Operation of Diaphragm Pumps

Whether it is new or used diaphragm pumps, their operation remains the same. These pumps are positive displacement pumps, which means they can easily contract and expand their cavities to accommodate fluids and ensure their consistent movement. During the pumping, the diaphragm is flexed out of the displacement chamber. When the diaphragm moves away, the pump chamber volume automatically increases, and the pressure in the chamber decreases and draws in the fluid. If the diaphragm moves in, the volume of the pump will decrease and the chamber’s pressure will increase and the fluid will be moved out. This works similarly to the human breathing mechanism.

Why Buy Diaphragm Pumps That Have Been Used Before

The following are a few benefits of buying used diaphragm pumps.

  • You can save money on the pumps and invest it in other necessary equipment. Most pumps in our inventory are much affordable than their new counterparts.
  • The pumps are checked for their performance and offered with technical documentation.
  • Some of our surplus diaphragm pumps have never been used, so you can take advantage of them as new without making the big investment usually associated with new models.
  • You can reduce the wait times that may sometimes extend in terms of new pumps to few weeks or even lesser.
  • You can save on depreciation that is much higher in used pumps.
